Today I celebrate my Grandmother, Gilda. She was a fantastic lady. She was like a second mother to us. She was always there for us as well. She taught me how to cook and gave me the best advice I ever got: Mejor sola que mal acompanada (better to be alone than with bad company). She was wise and loving and a little kooky like the rest of the women in the family. I miss but I know she is still with me in spirit and that comforts me. The black and white picture is my grandmother when she was young. The other picture is from my sister's first communion. That's me in the hat.
I am also posting some pictures of some of my favorite Day of the Dead collectibles down below ~ enjoy.

Your grandmother was such a lovely woman! I think her advice to you is spot on perfect. I agree with it completely.
ReplyDeleteI adore your smile in the other photo. It's just the same as the smile you now wear. :)
