Wordless Wednesday - Garden is Dead

This is what is left of my garden. Tom cleaned it up and burned off what was left. Although we got a lot of veggies and feed ourselves and others, this year was sort of a bust.

Our tomatoes plants got dried up and scorched from the over 90 degree temperatures we had for 2 weeks. The same thing happened to our corn.

Then we had a bunch of huge crows come and attack what was left of the corn. We found husks everywhere. Stupid crows.

Our squash, cucumbers and even lettuce did well. I figure any food we can get from our garden is a good thing because it is fresh and delicious. It is also nice to be able to share with our co-workers as well.

Maybe next year, we will have more tomatoes and corn! Now we wait for Fall! Then Winter - Blergh!

  6. I'm sorry to hear it was not as productive for you this year but I'm glad it wasn't a total bust. Hopefully you'll have a HUGE haul next year to make up for this :)
