Watch we are Watching - Dancing, Doctors and Django

It was a slow week. Mondays are shot for Netflix TV because I watch Dancing With the Stars. It is my guilty pleasure. I have no idea why I love it but I do. I keep wishing I get semi-famous just so I can be a c or D list celebrity invited on the show. It's my dream, don't mock it.

Anyway, I digress. This week we watched the following:

This was a great movie. I loved it. It is classic Quentin Tarantino and I am a huge Tarantino fan. But he had been making some not so good movies lately until this gem. Now, if you don't like violence and killing and are easily offended, avoid this movie. If you aren't and want to see a great movie with a solid plot and some fantastic acting, then rent it now.

Jamie Foxx is great but Christopher Waltz is the star of this movie, hands down. He blew me away. And I was not convinced he should have won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor because I thought Tommy Lee Jones was amazing in Lincoln. But after watching this movie, I know why Christopher won. The rest of the cast is pretty good too. I thought Leo DiCaprio was fantastic.

A Must See in my book!

This is all the rage among almost everyone I knew, so I decided maybe it was time to watch it. I don't know how to explain what it is but I would say a Sci-Fi TV series. It is good but not great. We like it but don't love it. It reminds me of Star Trek. The basic is that there is this alien, the Doctor, and he comes to London for some reason. He meets this girl and then she travels with him in the TARDIS, that blue police box in the picture, that is a time machine,

So they fly around the galaxy and save the world. Again, it is not bad. We enjoyed all the episodes. They are funny and clever. But it is not like other TV shows where we cannot wait to see the next episode and then fret over how long it takes to get tot he next season.

If you are a Sci-Fi fan, I would say watch it. The first season is a little cheesy. I think the special effects budget was way low. I have been told the special effects get better in Season 2. We are iffy on whether we will keep watching but I think we might.
