Caprese Salad!

Caprese Salad you say? Yes. Again, on my quest to use up our garden veggies in the best possible way, this is the perfect summer salad recipe. All you need is mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, basil, olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

We had some beautiful Cherokee Purple heirloom tomatoes come in so I decided to use them because they are so full of flavor. I also had fresh basil from the garden. I used olive oil that I bought in Spain and some really delicious aged balsamic vinegar.

Ingredients needed

Cut cheese and tomatoes into slices and salt and pepper the tomatoes

Layer the ingredients alternating tomato, cheese and basil

Ready for olive oil and balsamic vinegar

Drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar

Eat! Buen Provecho!
