What We Have Watched

This is what we have been watching the past couple of weeks. We have actually had some good shows lately and few duds.

The Following:
This is a new series we picked up on Netflix. It is darn good. It is about a serial killer who comes back into the life the agent who arrested him. I like anything with serial killers so this was up my alley. But it turned out to be a whole different thing than what we thought and we loved it. It stars Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy. The acting was great. The plot pretty good and I expect to keep watching the next season!

The only good thing about this movie is that it starred Hugh Jackman. The rest of the movie was ridiculous and slow. It was a dud and I would not recommend it even to Hugh Jackman fans.

Blue Jasmine:
I love Woody Allen movies. I have been a fan since way back in the day. Tom is a fan as well so we watch all his movies. This one was interesting but we didn't love it. I wouldn't recommend it unless you are a fan of Woody Allen. Go rent Bananas or Sleeper.

Saving Mr. Banks:
OMG one of the best movies I have seen this year!! This movie had it all. And I have no idea why Emma Thompson and Tom Hanks were not nominated for Oscars. They were absolutely fantastic. The movie was fun and sad and all around perfect. Plus, it also stars Colin Farrell and you all know I love Colin Farrell. GO WATCH THIS NOW!!

  1. I love the following! have you started the new season? It's already off to a great start!! oh em gee, i loved prisoners. i was so wrapped up in the horror of what hugh did to that boy more than anything else! my mom hated it too, but it was one of my faves for the year! i heard great things about mr. banks, i'll have to rent this one when it is out!!

  2. Thanks for the reviews! I wondered what The Following was all about, I see commercials but am always busy so never caught it! Sounds right up my alley too!

  3. wow I didn't see any of these but I just saw Captain Phillips with Tom Hanks and it was awesome.
