Wordless Wednesday ~ A Tale of Two Gardens

At our house in Sylva, we had a huge garden. I loved it although it was a lot of work. Mainly a lot of work for Tom but I helped. I also loved having tons of fresh veggies to eat.

Here is Wilmington, our yard is smaller but we do have a tiny garden. We have tomatoes, lettuce, broccoli, cucumbers and some herbs. I am glad we have a tiny garden but there are days I miss my giant garden and all the fresh tomatoes we would harvest. Sigh.

  1. As long as you have tomatoes in your garden, that's all you need! Freshly grown tomatoes are the best! I love tomato sandwiches. =)

  2. Cute Garden. I bet you miss your big garden. I love growing tomatoes and getting a lot to harvest. Nothing beats home grown tomatoes. They are the best tasting.

  3. More pots next year since you don't have the big garden any more.

  4. I love your garden, it may be small but it will be grand! When I was younger my dads mom had a huge field and her garden was HUGE! I remember helping her in the garden and picking veggies. It was a lot of fun.

  5. A big garden is so much work, but you can't beat all the great vegetables. I have also stopped making a big garden every year just because it's so hard to keep up with.

  6. I used to have a large veggie garden, but it was just too hard to keep up with. I've missed it every since I stopped planting. I see that you now have a raised bed. Do you like it? I've been thinking that a couple of them might work well for me.

    1. I wish it was raised a little more. But I do like it. It is easier to manage and gets less weeds. I think a few more are going to be put in next year.
