2015 White House Christmas Card!

I am pretty sure I got on the list because I gave money to the Obama campaign for years. But I also know people who have given more and don't get the card every year. I also visited the White House a few years ago through a blogging group. Whatever the reason, I have been receiving the White House Christmas card for years. I never expect it but when I get it, I am always thrilled. Yes, I get millions of people get the card but there are also millions who don't. And it's no secret I admire the Obama family. I may not always agree with the president but I love him and think he and his family are amazing.

Last year, my Christmas card caused waves in Bulgaria. You have to read this post but the short story is that someone in Bulgaria (the Prime Minister) said he received a card from the President. Apparently someone then did a little investigating and found out that millions of these cards get sent out and called this guy out. They linked to my post and I had steady traffic from Bulgaria. It was pretty funny. I hope this one doesn't cause havoc.

Happy Anniversary to Us!

Six years ago, we got married. The only reason we actually remember the date of our marriage is because it falls on Columbus day. We don't really celebrate our anniversary because that's how we roll. But I figured I should say something because the marriage did make us legal in the eyes of at least the government here in North Carolina.

The real story is that although we have been legally married for 6 years, we have really been together for 20 years this December. That's a long time and it has been a pretty good 20 years.

This year we are not celebrating again. I might have made Tom take me out to dinner but I have a Golf Tournament today and I will be out of the house all day long! But we will celebrate the 20 years in December when we head to St. Martin.

Photos from my #D23Expo trip #Disneyland60 #travel

I was invited to the D23 Expo by Disney and I had a blast! The D23 Expo is a convention for Disney fanatics and I am a Disney fanatic.

I did so much that I can't even document it all here. The first day was a mix of Muppets, Playmation and the expo floor. We also went to Disneyland in the evening. The next day was the same as well. In all the craziness I got to see Harrison Ford, Johnny Depp, Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, Stan Lee, Lupita N'yongo and Sir Ben Kingsley.

We learned about all the new Disney movies coming up including the new Star Wars movie this December. We learned about all the new animated movies coming out and also the new gaming options and more. Since I have waited a zillion years to even post anything, I have forgotten a lot.

Of course, you can always visit my other blog and read more. In the meantime, here are some pictures of my adventures at the D23 Expo!

Happy Birthday Tom!

I have to admit that I am the WORST WIFE EVER. Today is Tom's birthday and I am flying to Los Angeles to go attend a Disney press trip that includes going to the D23Expo and the 60th Anniversary celebration at Disneyland. See, I am a sucky wife.

Luckily, Tom is not the Worst Husband Ever and supports me when I get invited on trips like this. He did not hesitate is being happy for me and does not mind that I am not there for his birthday.

We actually rarely celebrate our birthdays. Usually it's a nice dinner and, usually, never on the day of our birthday. I still don;t think I got my birthday dinner this year. Tom says I did but I am not sure.

This year has been a bit of a strain but we got through all the illness nonsense and me starting a new job. Luckily, Tom is one year older! And I thin we are happy about that. Of course, I will take him out to a great dinner or cook him a great low fat, low salt dinner when I get back. In the meantime, I am partying in Los Angeles and he is all alone with Joss at home.

Happy Birthday to the Best Husband Ever! Of course, he is my only husband ever.
